Lisa Ann Cullen Wheatley, 50, of Fairmount, died Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Crisfield December 15, 1964, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Hoke and Ruth Ellen Sterling Cullen.
A graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1982, she was an addictions counselor at the Worcester County Health Department. She also had a great love for the Pocomoke Firehouse and enjoyed the work she did there.
Known for her infectious smile, Lisa loved to joke and make people laugh. She was an accomplished artist who enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, "yard saling", and helping others. She also avidly watched the ministries of Joel Osteen.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, and sister, she is survived by her husband of 17 years, Robert Andrew "Drew" Wheatley of Westover; her daughter, Michele Choquette and husband Chip of Pocomoke; two step-children, Tyler Wheatley of Mt. Vernon and Karen Abell and husband Dale of Pocomoke; her brother, Jacob Hoke Cullen, Jr. of Crisfield; nieces and nephews, Rachel Cullen and Jacob Hoke Cullen, III of Crisfield and Rose Cullen of Salisbury; her uncle, Tom Smith and wife Susan and their son, Thomas Smith, III and family of Chesterfield, VA; her special cousin, Jewell Riggin of Marion; her special friends, Jim, Karen, and Nickole; and many other special cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Bob Daniels will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where a viewing will be Friday evening from 7-9 PM. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
