Linda Lee Payne, 79, of Crisfield, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Alice B. Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Crisfield on April 17, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Linwood McCready and Mary Virginia Cluff McCready.

A homemaker and poultry farmer, she was a faithful member of Marion Baptist Church.  There, she was in charge of the church card ministry which she enjoyed.

Linda liked collecting snowmen and lighthouses and loved watching Perry Mason on TV.  She enjoyed going out to eat at Dayton's and From Scratch and loved get togethers and family dinners, especially around the holidays. She loved her family and cherished any time spent with them.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie Tyler/Les, and Annette Payne/Scott Bissett, all of Crisfield; brothers, Jack McCready/Nancy of Marion, Eddie McCready/Rose of Westover, and Tommy McCready/Paula of Westover; granddaughter, Erica Tyler/Doug Hooker of Salisbury, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Joe Barnes and Pastor Tim Goonan will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2023 at 1 PM with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Marion.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Marion Baptist Church, 5829 Crisfield Highway, Marion, MD 21838.
