Linda Marie Parks, 72, of Ewell, Smith Island, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her home.

Born in Baltimore on July 15, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Harry Reed and Flossie Marshall Evans.

She was a homemaker and a member of Ewell United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and helped in any capacity needed. She also helped setup flowers for funerals on the island. She loved flowers, birds, working in her yard, coloring, and being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gene Edward Parks of Ewell; her daughter, Betty Marie Smith of Crisfield; her son, Willie Reed Parks of Ewell; her brother, Billy Reed Evans of Ewell; her sister, Cecil Laird of Ewell; her granddaughters, Lynn Taylor and Beth Pruitt; her great grandchildren, Nicholas Bradford, Brianna Bradford, and Brooklyn Gannon; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Lee Kitching, and Dennis and Yvonne Evans.

Funeral services officiated by Pastors Everett Landon and Jim Evans will be Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 2 PM at Ewell U. M. Church where a viewing will be Saturday from 7-9 PM. Interment will be in Ewell Church Cemetery.
