Linda Marie Lawson, 76, of Westover, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury.
Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, on December 11, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Davie Battle Flowers and Cora Alease Flowers.
Linda proudly served in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) before earning her bachelor’s degree in business from Goldey-Beacom College. She dedicated 21 years of service to Dove Point, Inc., where she worked as a case manager.
Although Linda enjoyed the comforts of home, she also loved visiting the casino to try her luck at the slot machines, where she seemed to have a special knack for winning. She enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with her beloved husband. Linda was also a talented writer and poet. Though she never got around to writing the book she often talked about, she shared her gift for words through several beautiful poems that were published.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 25 years, Weldon H. Lawson, Jr., of Westover; two sons, Michael Martin of Salisbury and Scott Martin (Kimberly) of Laurel, Delaware; two brothers, Robert Flowers (Wilhelmina) and Danny Flowers (Elaine), both of North Carolina; a special cousin, Jackie Lawson of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Matthew Scott Lawson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 12 p.m. at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield, where a viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Rev. Bob Daniels will officiate. Interment will follow at Somerset Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Crisfield.
