LINDA SUE HUGHES, 62, of Crisfield and formerly of Baltimore, died Friday, March 11, 2011 at her home.

Born in Washington County, Pennsylvania on June 8, 1948, she was a daughter of John William Snyder and the late Valerie Lorraine Alexander Snyder. She had been making her home in Crisfield for the past 15 years.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Crisfield.

She is survived by her father, John William Snyder; her husband, Russell Hughes of Crisfield; two sons, Robert Snyder and wife Lisa of NC and John Atkinson and wife Rhonda of Pasadena; three brothers, John Snyder and wife Shirley, James Snyder and wife Bonnie, and Robert Snyder and wife Kim, all of Baltimore; a sister, Bonnie Brynes and husband Bill of Baltimore; six grandchildren, Jonathan Atkinson, Katie Atkinson, Robert Snyder and his mother Angel Hunt who was like a daughter to Linda, Heather Snyder, Amanda Snyder, and Brandy Snyder; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Atkinson; her mother-in-law, Rose Hughes; a brother-in-law, Donald "Tommy" Hughes; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Victoria Atkinson.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call two hours prior. Pastor Tad Maroon will officiate.
