LILLIAN C. EVANS, 81, of Crisfield, died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born in Baltimore City on July 15, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Cora Murray Bailes. Her husband, Donald C. Evans, Sr., died in September 1967.

She was a homemaker, and in her later years enjoyed catering for many families and organizations in the community. She was a faithful member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield where she served on the United Methodist Women and was active with Circle 1. She was also a member of the former Chesapeake Chapter #28 Order of Eastern Star in Crisfield.

She is survived by three children, Donald C. Evans, Jr. and Thomas Evans and his fiancé Deborah Donnelly, all of Crisfield and Mary Anne Johnson and her husband James of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Erik Evans of Washington, DC, Andrea Evans of Salisbury, Lauren Evans of Crisfield and Kelsey Johnson of Salisbury; two brothers, Thomas R. Bailes, Jr. of Dundalk and Robert M. Bailes of Baltimore; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services and interment will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 1 PM at Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield. The Rev. Bill Davis will officiate. There will be no public viewing.
