Leslie H. Corbin, 84, of Crisfield, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at McCready Memorial Hospital.

Born on Tylerton, Smith Island on September 13, 1928, he was a son of the late Shafter W. and Dolphia A. Marshall Corbin.

He was a life-long waterman and the owner of the former Mazie's Rentals. He was also Captain of the dredge boat "Mary Somers".

He was a member of Union United Methodist Church and was a former president of the Lions Club while on Smith Island. He was currently a member of Somerset Free Methodist Church in Crisfield. In 2006, Capt. Les was inducted into the Watermen's Hall of Fame at the annual Soft Shell Festival in Crisfield.

A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, he is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Laird Corbin; three sons, Michael B. Corbin and wife Della, David E. Corbin and wife Becky, and Steven S. Corbin and wife Susan, all of Crisfield; daughter-in-law, Sharon Corbin of Crisfield; eight grandchildren, Donna Rae Cannon, Micah B. Corbin, Megan Haley Paparatti, Rebecca A. Corbin Taylor, Jordan D. Corbin, Victoria Grace Corbin, Amy E. Corbin, and Quincy S. Corbin; two great-grandchildren, Donald James Cannon and Riley Shae Corbin; a brother, Harvey W. Corbin of Tylerton; a sister, Norma Lee Somers of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Rev. Donald S. Corbin in 1985, and Leslie M. Corbin in 1975; and a sister, Carolyn Corbin.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 2 PM at Somerset Free Methodist Church in Crisfield where a viewing will be one hour prior. Pastor Jim Evans will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
