Leah Michelle Cruey, 39, of Marion Station, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 following a valiant battle with cancer.

Born in Howard County, MD on April 26, 1984, she was a daughter of the late Richard Cruey and Brenda and Walter Griner of Marion Station who raised her.

She was a 2002 graduate of Crisfield High School and obtained an Associate Degree from Wor-Wic Community College. She was Branch Leader at Truist Bank (formerly BB&T.) She loved her work family and was very grateful for their support over the years.

Leah fought seven years of cancer because she knew she had great purpose in being here for her children and giving them the best life she could. Despite her illness, she did not let it stop her from taking trips and experiencing life. She would go camping, to the beach, and vacationed with family whenever she could. She was always involved in her kids, nieces, and nephews events and supported them in any way she could. Her daughters, Jaden and Ava, were the true loves of her life and she loved her nieces, nephews, and friends' children as if they were her own. Leah was an inspiration to all and will be missed greatly.

Along with her mother and step-father, she is survived by her daughters, Jaden Sanders and Ava Sanders; sister, Amiee Matthews and husband Patrick, and their kids, Kayley and Austin of Princess Anne; close friend, Jessica Ward and husband Richie of Westover; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Britney Griner.

Memorial services at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home officiated by Mr. Jay Tawes will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 1 PM. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
