Laurie Hope Moore McMann, 69, of Ashland, Virginia and formerly of Tangier Island, VA died Thursday, January 13, 2022 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, MD.

Born in Nassawadox, VA on May 16, 1952, she was a daughter of Mary Lee Wheatley Moore of Tangier Island and the late Edward Smith Moore.

A graduate of Tangier High School, she obtained a degree in business from Smithdeal- Massey Business College.  She was manager at NACM where she worked 34 years.

She was a member of Kenwood United Methodist Church in Ashland and loved reading, knitting, playing games online, and visiting her best friend on the Eastern Shore, Jess Robbins.

In addition to her mother, Mary Lee Moore, she is survived by her husband, Nick Laurles McMann; daughter, Ashley Jester and husband Adam; son, Nicholas McMann and wife Tara; grandchildren, Ayden, Zoe, and Brayden; sister, Claudia Parks and husband William; and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date on Tangier Island.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Swain Memorial United Methodist Church on Tangier Island.
