Laura Lynne Sterling, 70, of Crisfield, died at home on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

Born in Crisfield, she was a daughter of Linwood "Possum" Sterling, Sr. who died September 25, 2009 and Laura Frances Davis Sterling who died November 21, 2011.

She was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1969 and attended business school in Baltimore.  She worked as an administrative assistant at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore where she later retired.

Laura loved fishing, cooking and spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed going to concerts and dances with her friends.  She was a member of the American Legion Post #16 Auxiliary and the former VFW Post #8274 Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather Lynne Wallace (William) of Marion Station; two grandchildren, Kayleigh Wallace and Austin Wallace of Marion Station; her siblings, Ronnie Sterling (Margie Willey), Gregory Davis Sterling, and David Bruce Sterling (Margaret Sterling), all of Crisfield; her best friends, Carol Lundy of Crisfield and Ginny and Bob Leef of Marion Station; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Linwood Sterling, Jr. and Jerry Rue Sterling, Sr.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Daniels will officiate.
