Obituary

LARRY GLENN STERLING, 52, of Pocomoke City, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at his home.

Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on May 10, 1958, he was a son of the late Charles Raymond and Phyllis Ann Windsor Sterling.

A graduate of Crisfield High School, he was self-employed and was a poultry grower for the past 16 years. He was a member of the Pocomoke Elks Lodge #1624, the Moose Lodge #2431 in Westover, and the Tony Tank Tribe # 149 in Fruitland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and watching football. Most of all, he loved being with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tonya Marie Tull Sterling of Pocomoke City; two sons, Larry Sterling and his wife Kimmy and Brian Sterling, all of Pocomoke City; a niece whom he raised, Kristina Pepper and her son Anthony of Crisfield; a brother, Kenneth Raymond Sterling and his wife Jill of Crisfield; a sister, Diane Bradshaw and her husband Mark of Crisfield; his mother and father-in-law, Diane and Albert Jones of Pocomoke City; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 17, 2011 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call from 12 Noon until service time at 2 where there will be an Elks memorial service conducted by the Pocomoke Elks Lodge. The Rev. Harvey Tyler will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
