Obituary

LADELLE VIRGINIA DANIEL, a loving wife, mother, and Christian lady, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at home with her husband and children by her side. She was 85.

Born on May 8, 1923 on Wenona, she was a daughter of the late Clifton and Annie Horner Webster.

A dedicated Christian lady, she enjoyed being an Evangelistic singer with her husband, Art, spreading God's word throughout Delmarva. She was a faithful member of Faith Independent Church in Wenona.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Arthur S. Daniel, Jr. of Wenona; five children, Stanley A. Daniels and wife, Ruth, of Wenona, Brenda A. Benton of Wenona, Rev. Robert L. Daniels, Sr. and wife, Janice, of Crisfield, Virginia D. Hoffman and husband, Albert, of Wenona, and Terry W. Daniels, Sr. and wife, Beatrice, of Wenona; 17 grandchildren, Lee Daniels, Ted Daniels, Jennifer Cox, Lisa Tuel, Danny Benton, Stephen Benton, Andrew Benton, Deborah Benton, Eddie Daniels, Robert Daniels, Jr., Jonathan Daniels, Jason Daniels, Amanda Lee, Sarah Weeks, Albert Hoffman, Jr., Lori Wyatt, and Terry Daniels, Jr.; 43 great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Price and Flora Webster of Eden; her sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Bill Hubbard of Salisbury; three half brothers, Ted Webster and Michael Webster of Wenona and Dickie Webster of Deal Island; three half sisters, Shirley White of Wenona, Sylvia Anderson of Deal Island, and Susie Walters of Salisbury; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Daniels; her sister, Dorothy Thomas; her half brother, Walter "Poochie" Webster; and her half sister, Bonnie Walters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 2 PM at Faith Independent Church on Wenona. Services will be conducted by the Rev.s Jonathan Daniels, Robert Daniels, Sr., and Charles L. Adams. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery at Wenona. A viewing will be held at the church Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
