L. CARROLL ADAMS, 80, of Marion Station, died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield.

Born in Marion Station on September 6, 1928, he was a son of the late Ernest and Marie Bailey Adams.

A Crisfield High School graduate, he was a life-long farmer. He attended the former Phoenix United Methodist Church and Mariners United Methodist Church. He enjoyed raising Appaloosa horses, flying airplanes, and RV traveling.

He is survived by his companion, Lorraine Lankford of Crisfield; his aunt, Gladys Butler of Marion Station; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Emily Linton.

A graveside funeral service and interment will be held Friday, June 12, 2009 at 2 PM at St. Paul's Cemetery in Marion Station. Pastor Jeff James will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be sent to Marion Fire Department, P.O. Box 143, Marion Station, MD 21838.
