Kathy Martin Byrd, 68, of Salisbury and formerly of Crisfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at her home.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 23, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Ida Walston Martin.  She was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1975 and was retired supervisor of housekeeping at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.

Kathy was a member of Living Hope Church of God in Marion and she enjoyed attending church and church events.  She loved shopping and traveling, especially to Pennsylvania "Amish Country".  Most of all she loved her family and especially loved doting on her grandchildren.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by her husband of 51 years, Anthony "Tony" Byrd of Salisbury; her son, Justin Byrd and wife Katie of Salisbury; her granddaughters, Addy, Ella and Isla Byrd of Salisbury; her daughter-in-law, Trish Byrd of Crisfield; her sister, Linda Mister of Crisfield; her brother, Charles Bruce Martin and wife Nancy of Crisfield; her sister-in-law, Bonnie Martin of Princess Anne; many nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Sue Hiddleson of Salisbury.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Byrd in 2019; two brothers, Paul Martin and Eddie Dean Martin; and two sisters, Shirley Crockett who was her twin, and Rosemary Taylor.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11 AM at Living Hope Church of God where a visitation will be one hour prior.
