Kathryn Roberta Young, 91, of Crisfield for the past seven years and formerly of Baltimore, died Friday, April 14, 2017 at her home.

Born in Johnstown, PA on January 4, 1926, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Kathryn Gettings McCormick. Her husband of 69 years, Luther B. Young, preceded her in death exactly one year prior on April 14, 2016.

She was a homemaker and a member of Christ Fellowship Bible Church. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, and the Senior Center in Edgemere.  She especially loved her family and being a grandmother.

She is survived by three children, James Young of Baltimore, Kathryn Gaither and husband Chuck of Crisfield, and David Young of Baltimore; a brother, Robert McCormick of PA; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Homer McCormick.

Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Stephen S. Willing will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2 PM at Christ Fellowship Bible Church in Marion where a viewing will be one hour prior. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
