Kathryn Ann "Kathy" Abbott, 70, of Deal Island, died Saturday, February 10, 2024 at her home.

Born in Salisbury on January 21, 1954, and raised on Deal Island, she was a daughter of the late Kirwin and Florence Walters Abbott.

She was a graduate of Washington High School class of 1972.  She worked at Island Seafood where she ran the deli, and worked from the 1980's until she became ill in the mid 1990's at Heinemann Electric Company in Salisbury.

Kathy was an active member of St. John's Community Church in Deal Island and the Ladies Auxiliary of Deal Island Fire Department.  She loved music and dancing, coloring adult coloring books, reading Danielle Steele books, and Pepsi.  She was also an avid New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan.

She is survived by two sisters, Linda Abbott and Janice Abbott; nephews, Timmy Abbott and Brian Webster; niece, Alison "Baby Dumps" Abbott; great-nieces, Brandi Abbott Benton, Cameron Abbott, Alexis Abbott, and Sophia Webster; great-great-niece, Bri Ballard; and a special brother-in-law, Kenny Webster.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Abbott; and a sister, Ramona Webster.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 2 PM at St. John's Community Church with Pastor David Webster officiating.  A viewing will be one hour prior.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
