IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathleen Rose
Brown
September 16, 1942 – July 1, 2018
Kathleen Rose Brown "MIMI", 75, of Crisfield, Maryland. It is with great sadness that the family of Kathleen announces her passing on July 1 at her home in Crisfield, Maryland.
She was born September 16, 1942 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to Fred and Mary Meisel. A graduate of South Amboy, NJ High School, she went on to Lincoln Technical in Philadelphia to learn the skills to be a medical secretary.
Kathleen married and is survived by William "Bill" Brown. They were married for 56 years and enjoyed many good times in Media, PA, then Glens Falls, NY, and recently on the Chesapeake Bay. Kathleen was more than a devoted wife and mother; she was a good friend to those who knew her. She was a great cook and loved to go fishing, gardening, crabbing off the dock, and to take the boat out to show off her fishing skills. It was uncanny that with her lucky fishing pole she always seemed to catch the biggest.
Bill and Kathleen were living the dream; Ocean City boardwalk fries was her favorite trip followed by an ice cream stop.
She held many jobs throughout her life but most rewarding was working in the family restaurant, "Fiddleheads", where at times family was everywhere. She was always willing to help no matter the job. She was one of a kind and those lucky enough to have known her can attest to, and will surely miss her.
Kathleen was a devoted and beloved mother of three, Kenneth, Mary and Bill Jr. Daughter, Mary Catone, and grandchildren, Amber and Melanie Catone, of Glens Falls, NY, were loved dearly. You can be assured she will be watching them from above. Son, Bill Jr. and wife Pamela of Crisfield, MD have two step grandchildren, Courtney and Chelsea Higgins, and MIMI's two Great grandchildren, Cecilia and Terry Wyatt Ide.
A private sunset service will be held for her and son, Kenneth, at her favorite fishing hole, where the big ones are.
