Katherine M. "Kitty" Hardester, 98, of Crisfield, died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Hartley Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation in Pocomoke City.

Born in Conway, SC on September 22, 1924, she was a daughter of the late John William and Brittie Rosenell Powell Mitchell.  Her husband, Allen Hardester, preceded her in death in 1982.

She was a teacher and a faithful member of the Crisfield First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Allen L. Hardester, Jr. of Columbia, MD.

A memorial service will be Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2 PM at First Baptist Church in Crisfield.  Rev. Jack "Tad" Maroon will officiate.

Urn interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
