Kara Ann Evans, 53, of Crisfield, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 with her family by her side at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury following a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born in Crisfield September 9, 1961, she was a daughter of Marvin H. Tawes of Crisfield and the late Eleanor Ann Marshall Tawes.

A dental assistant, she was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1979, and attended Wesley College.

She was an avid Redskins and Orioles fan, and enjoyed going to her daughter's field hockey games. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 32 years, Ronnie Evans of Crisfield; her son, Ross Evans and his fiancé Jessica Hurt of Crisfield; her daughter, Rachael Evans of Crisfield; her brother, Craig Tawes of Crisfield; her sister, Kay Insley and husband Eddie of North Carolina; her brother-in-law, Ricky Evans and wife Angie of Pennsylvania; her nieces and nephews, Alex Tawes, Dustin Tawes, Ryan Dodson and wife Nicki, Brooks Dodson, Brad Evans and wife Krista, Kristy Ignaccolo and husband Steve, Ericka Evans, and Ryan Evans; and several great nieces and nephews.

Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Mary Emily Evans; and her father-in-law, Richard Evans.

Funeral services officiated by the Reverends Paul Holland and Stephen Willing will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 2 PM at Immanuel U. M. Church where the family will receive friends from 12-2. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
