June Marie Capps Drewer, 81, of Crisfield, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 28, 2025, with her family by her side, at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Baltimore (raised in Ft. Howard) on June 28, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Adams Capps and Elsie Irene Goude Capps. Her beloved husband of 35 years, Scott Lawrence Drewer, preceded her in death on November 10, 2005.

A graduate of Sparrows Point High School, she was a homemaker and later retired from the former Mercantile Peninsula Bank in Crisfield, retiring after almost 20 years.

June was a charter member of the former Faith Fellowship Assembly of God (currently Coastal Community Church) and was very active in the Women's Ministries there.  Affectionately known as "Mommom", she loved and was very proud of her family.

She is survived by her four sons, Frank Drewer (Diana), Billy Drewer (Lou), Howard Drewer (Denyne), and Cliff Drewer (Renee); grandsons, Alex Jones and Jesse Drewer; granddaughters, Jaynah Owes and Carrie Drewer; and her Golden Retriever, "Rusty".

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Irene Drewer on June 11, 2024; her granddaughter, Jenna Lou Drewer-Noll on January 16, 2024; and her grandson, Thomas Bradley "Brad" Mason on July 29, 2013.  June was the youngest and last surviving of her siblings:  Eva Lanier, Shirley Wilt, Helene Kissinger, Dwight Capps, and Johnny Capps.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home for providing such wonderful and loving care to June during her residency.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Stephen S. Willing will officiate.  Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
