Julia Regina Ward, 84, of Salisbury, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at her home.
Born in Crisfield July 17, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Charles Upshur and Elizabeth Lear Harrison Swift. Her husband, Donald W. Ward died May 7, 1983.
She was a homemaker who loved cooking for her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed watching The Waltons and cooking shows on TV every day.
She is survived by three children, Glenda Taylor of Salisbury, Donna Daugherty and husband Jack of Salisbury, and Ted Ward and wife Robin of Hebron; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Outten of Girdletree; nine grandchildren, Julie Hickman and husband Jeff of Salisbury, John William Daugherty of Salisbury, Missy Lazarofsky and husband Marc of Columbia, MD, Hope Witt and husband Mike of Glen Burnie, Stacy Paradise of Hebron. Thomas Johnson of Salisbury, Josh Johnson and wife Franny of Salisbury, Christy Outten of Virginia, and Rhonda Whitehead of Girdletree; three great-grandsons, Lucas Hickman, Daniel Outten and Brian Outten; two brothers, Jack Swift of Crisfield and Carl William "Bing" Swift of Marion; a granddog, Jaxon; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Outten, Jr.; and her siblings, Marie Swift, Charles Edward Swift, William Thomas Swift, Russell Webster Swift, David Lee Swift, Gene Sullivan Swift, Maybelle Swift, Edith Rock, Helen Clough, Joseph Swift, Georgianna "Ann" Bozman, and Alberta Townsend.
Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Bob Daniels will be Friday, October 16, 2015 at 11 Am at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
