JULIA ROBERTA EVANS, 84, of Crisfield, was invited to Jesus' birthday party on Saturday, December 25, 2010. She passed away at The Pine's in Easton, Maryland.
Born in Crisfield on April 6, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Alvenia Wilson Landon.
She retired in 1986 from A&P grocery in Crisfield.
She was a faithful member of the Crisfield Church of God where she was a Sunday school teacher and active in the choir and Nursing Home Ministry. She also enjoyed playing piano, and needlework.
She is survived by four children, Richard L. Evans and wife Deb of Milford, Ohio, Cheryl Lynn Shores and husband Johnny of Salisbury, Terri D. Hughes and husband Carl of East New Market and Benjamin "Jamie" Evans and wife Debbie of Crisfield; five grandchildren, US Army Capt. Ronnie Adams, stationed in Afghanistan, and his wife Robin, Natasha Walden of Columbia, MD, Lauren A. Shores of Columbia, Krista Lynn Warfield and husband Gene of Salisbury, and Coleen Aaron and husband Scott of Cambridge; a brother, Willard "Sonny" Landon and wife Pat of Crisfield; a sister, Myrna Evans and husband Jerry of Crisfield; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patti Sue Evans, who died in infancy; and a sister, Shirley Mae Landon.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2 PM at the Crisfield Church of God where friends may call one hour prior. The Rev.'s Harvey Tyler and Philip Morris will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
