Joshua David Freeman of Marion, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 at his home just three days prior to his 44th birthday.

Born September 16, 1981 in Towson, MD, he was a son of Calvin Leighton Freeman, Jr. and Cynthia Ann Herz Freeman of Crisfield.

He was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1999 and obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of MD Eastern Shore.  He was a Correctional Officer for Worcester County.

Josh enjoyed playing pool, darts and corn hole and was an award winning soccer player in his high school years. He loved the ocean, going to the beach and spending time with his family.  He attended the Chincoteague Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé, Tammy Paige of Marion; his children, Stephen Elijah Freeman (Cailey Marie Sobrepenã) of Montana, and Makayla Rain Freeman of Crisfield; his grandchild, Aine Blayne Freeman of Montana; his step-children, Jarrett Thomas Ward and Brandi Elizabeth Paige, both of Marion; his siblings, Jeremiah Freeman (Sarah Nelson) of Crisfield, Amy Brumley (Rhyan) of Fruitland, and Shawn Freeman (Courtney) of Florida; his maternal grandmother, Lillian Herz of Crisfield; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Albert Herz; his paternal grandparents, Calvin Freeman, Sr. and Norma Freeman; and his best friend, Tommy Fontaine.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Westover.  Father Dan Staniskis will officiate. A visitation will be from 9:30-10 AM.  Urn interment will follow in Olivet Cemetery.
