Josephine Kelly Webster Holland, 87, of Wenona, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Chesapeake Cottage Assisted Living in Snow Hill.
Born in Wenona on May 6, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Walter D. Webster and Hattie Corbin Evans. Her husband of 70 years, Paul F. Holland, preceded her in death February 14, 2008.
She worked side by side with her husband at their business, Holland Seafood, where she was a truck driver, bookkeeper, and crab picker, and worked many other jobs too numerous to mention to help support her family. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Wenona.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by five children, Doris Hancock and her husband David of Stockton, The Rev. Paul Holland and his wife Candi of Salisbury, Ruth Tyler of Princess Anne, Arby Holland and wife Debbie of Wenona, Janis Elrod and her husband Frank of Salisbury, and a deceased son, Gary Holland who died January 14, 1995; a brother, Walter Webster of Salisbury; four sisters-in-law, Ada Evans of Baltimore, Hattie Miller of Princess Anne, Hazel Kroth of Topeka, Kansas, and Anne Holland of Rumbley; a brother-in-law, Meredith Holland of Rumbley; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, husband, and son, she was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister, Emerson Evans, Sherman Evans, Clifton Webster, Clyde Webster, Horace Webster, and Evelyn Webster Wheatley.
Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Jay Hurley will be Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 3 PM at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Wenona where a viewing will be Friday evening from 6-8. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
