Joseph Henry Surdykowski, 83, of Crisfield, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 7, 1942, he was a son of the late Theodore and Catherine Schneider Surdykowski.  His wife of 52 years, Jenny Wiles Surdykowski, preceded him in death on March 3, 2023.

A US Coast Guard veteran, he joined the Carpenters Union at the young age of 16 and retired as Superintendent of T. N. Ward Construction Company.

He loved fishing, boating, and working in his yard.

He is survived by his step-daughter, Juanita Gambill (Donnie) of NC; a son-in-law, John Hendry of PA; a step-granddaughter, Sabrina Holbrook (Ryan); a step-grandson, Rylan Holbrook; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Patricia Hendry; his twin brother, Jimmy Surdykowski; and his older brother Richard Bernard Surdykowski.

A graveside memorial service in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 2 PM. Pastor Jeff James will officiate.
