JOSEPH DOUGLAS "DOUG" CROCKETT, 60, of Crisfield, died Saturday, September 3, 2011 at McCready Memorial Hospital.

Born on Tangier, he was a son of the late Claude and Julia Pruitt Crockett.

He was a retired dock worker at H. Glenwood Evans and Son in Crisfield. He loved his family, his dogs, being on the water, and sitting outside enjoying the weather listening to music.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa "Terri" Swain Crockett of Crisfield; three step-children, Nelson Thomas of Crisfield, Angela Garrett of Cocoa, Florida, and Mary Thomas of Crisfield; his sisters and brothers, Virginia Culbertson and her husband Lewis, Jackie Crockett and his wife Mae, Patricia Culbertson and her husband Lewis, Jr., and Terry Crockett and his wife Kitty, all of Crisfield; a cousin, Bill Pruitt of Baltimore; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Crockett, and a sister, Claudia Crockett.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 9, 2011 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. Rev. Terry Riggin will officiate.
