Obituary
John Howard Pinney, 75, of Crisfield, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his home.
Born in Parsons, West Virginia on November 9, 1940, he was a son of the late Harry Browning Pinney and Lois Gatrell Pinney.
A graduate of North Carolina State University, he was retired from the US Navy after 23 years of service and was senior analyst for Sonalysts in Waterford, Connecticut. He was a faithful and devoted member of Christ Fellowship Bible Church in Marion, and was a faithful servant to the Eastern Shore Emmaus Community.
He is survived by his wife, Carlotta Fay Pinder Pinney of Crisfield; a son, John H. Pinney, Jr. of Westerly, RI; three daughters, Johnna Taylor (Brian) of Stonington, Connecticut, Sue Farrell (Dan) of Boston, Mass., and Denise Michalowski (Paul) of Westport, Connecticut; a brother, Richard Pinney (Susan) of Barnagat Light, NJ; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Stephen S. Willing will be Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11 AM at Christ Fellowship Bible Church in Marion. A viewing will be Thursday evening at the church from 6-8. Interment with full military honors will be Saturday at 11 AM at Green Mount Cemetery in Hillsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Fellowship Bible Church Building Fund, 5910 Crisfield Highway, Marion, MD 21838.
