John Gary "Jackie" Hinman, 70, of Crisfield, died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born in Crisfield February 26, 1947, he was a son of the late Charles Leroy and Joann Wilson Hinman.

He retired from Rubberset after 41 years and was a member of the Crisfield Elks Lodge #1044 and the Sons of American Legion of Stanley Cochrane Post #16.

He is survived by two children, Ronald Hinman and wife Kim of Crisfield and Patti Jo Howard of Panama City, Florida; four sisters, Beverly Barnes of Savannah, Georgia, Dinah "Peachy" Neal of Salisbury, Jo Lynn Vincent of Centreville, VA, and Becky Seaback of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren, Tyler Hinman, Josh Hinman, Brittany Hinman, Emily Hinman, Rebecca Hightower, Brianna Howard and Hailey Howard; a special niece, Tammy Cuff of Marion; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Gary Hinman in 2002; and five brothers, Charles Weldon "Chick" Hinman, Richard "Ricky" Hinman, Jerry Lee Hinman, Billy Hinman, and Tommy Hinman.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 1, 2017 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Stephen S. Willing will officiate. Urn interment will be later in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
