John Sherwood "Jack" Kelly, 82, of Crisfield, died Saturday, September 23, 2023 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Born in Crisfield, he was the son of the late Sherwood Mason Kelly and Lucille Pearl Byrd Kelly.

He was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1959 and served as a medic in the US Army.  He was a retired Correctional Officer at Eastern Correctional Institution and prior was a barber.

He was a member of Stanley Cochrane Post #16 American Legion.   He enjoyed traveling and bus trips, and was a cat lover.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Jane Kelly of Crisfield; three grandchildren, Jessica, Sean, and Anthony Kelly, all of Salisbury; and his daughter-in-law, Eleanore Piscitelli of Salisbury.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Timothy Kelly on November 30, 2017.

A graveside service officiated by Rev. Stephen S. Willing will be Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 2 PM at Sunnyridge Memorial Park.  A viewing will be Thursday from 12:00-1:30 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home.  There will be a procession to the graveside.
