John Richard Hill, Sr., 68, of Crisfield, died Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

Born in Crisfield on October 19, 1949, he was a son of the late Raymond Osborne Hill, Sr. and Mary Lou Cullen Hill.

He was a seafood worker working at Metompkin in Crisfield for more than 20 years. Prior, he worked at the former Mrs. Paul's Kitchens until their closing.

He was a member of the former Crisfield VFW, and enjoyed fishing and crabbing, especially at Raccoon Point. He also enjoyed being outside listening to his oldies but goodies.   He loved to cook, he loved to eat sweets, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diane Landon Hill; three children, John Richard Hill, Jr., Robert Lee "Bobby" Hill and wife Jennifer, and Angela Marie Insley and wife Amber; five siblings, Raymond "Ozzie" Hill, Jr. and wife Mary Kay, Danny Hill, Cindy Marshall and husband Phil, Betty Marsh and husband Kevin, and Nancy Martin and husband Chuck; 7 grandchildren, Jheri, Morgan, Hannah, Hailey, Makenzie, Paxton, and Kadence; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Bob Daniels will be Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home. A viewing will be one hour prior.  Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery in Marion Station.
