John Patrick Hackett, 86, of Crisfield, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Born in Salem, New Jersey on April 4, 1939, he was a son of the late Carlton and Jane Patrick Hackett.  He had been making his home in Crisfield for the past 20 years.

He was a retired dentist and a United States Air Force veteran.  He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was active in the Chesapeake Masonic Lodge #147 AF&AM as well as several Shriners International Chapters.

He loved working in his yard and golfing.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda Lee Sterling Hackett of Crisfield; two children, Mark Patrick Hackett (Gail) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Coleen Lynne Henry (Robert) of Jackson Springs, NC; a grandson, Cole Henry; and a brother, Carl Hackett of PA.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
