JODI KAE COOPER, 39, of Delmar, Delaware, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 8, 2007 at her home following a valiant battle with cancer.

Born in Crisfield on October 31, 1967, she was a daughter of Jo Ellen and Raymond Shanks of Marion Station. She had been a resident of Delmar since 2004.

A graduate of Crisfield High School's class of 1986, she was a former sergeant with the Wicomico County Detention Center. She was a member of Bay Shore Community Church near Gumboro, Delaware.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Cooper of Delmar; her parents, Jo Ellen and Raymond Shanks of Marion Station; her daughters, Michelle Leigh Cooper and Keisha Marie Cooper of Delmar; her brothers, Timmy Linton, Billy Shanks, Lew Shanks and wife Penny, and Marvin Shanks; her sisters, Donna Cullen, Bobbi Taylor and husband Rocky and Amy Riggin and husband Mark; her best friends, Lanee Perry and husband Shawn of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Pam Hall and husband Mac of Parker, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12, 2007 at 11 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Danny Tice will officiate and will be assisted by Pastor "Tad" Maroon. A eulogy will be given by Phil Figgs. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
