Obituary

JoAnne Schultz, 62, of Delmar and formerly of Salisbury and Crisfield, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at her home.

Born in Crisfield on September 11, 1944, she was the daughter of Edith Marshall of Delmar and formerly of Crisfield. Her first husband, "Snoogie" Revelle preceded her in death.

JoAnne attended school in Crisfield through the 11th grade, and finished her high school education at John Bassat Moore High School in Smyrna, graduating in 1962. She later graduated from Wor-Wic Tech in 1991 as valedictorian with an Associates Degree in Communications and from Salisbury University in 1998 as co-valedictorian with a Bachelors Degree in Communications.

A US Army veteran, JoAnne was a Paramedic with Salisbury Fire Department working 22 years before retiring in 1999. She was an EMT/CPR/Paramedic Instructor with MIEMSS and MFRI. She was also employed at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury from 1988 until 2004 as an Emergency Department Tech and Secretary. In her earlier years, she was employed at McCready Hospital in Crisfield, and was a teacher's aide at the former Crisfield Elementary School.

In April of 2004, JoAnne started a chapter of the Red Hat Society, the "Red Hat Hoydens" of which she was Queen Mother.

She is survived by her mother, Edith Marshall of Delmar; her daughter, Edy Bailey and her fiancé Tyson Moore, both of Delmar; two sons, Donnie Prince of Maine and Richard Schultz, Jr. and his wife Rose of Bear, Delaware; six grandchildren, Trey Evans, Dustin Evans, Nikki Thomas, Joelle Bailey, Joey Bailey and Sarah Prince; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Evans; six step-grandchildren; and her former husband, Richard Schultz, Sr. of Delmar.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. J. Harvey Dixon, Chaplain of the Maryland State Fireman's Association, will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in Crisfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be sent to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607-1460.
