Obituary

Joan "Priscilla" Bradshaw, 87, of Tylerton, Smith Island, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.

Born August 19, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Robley D. and Julia R. Marshall Bradshaw. Her husband of 41 years, William "Milford" Bradshaw, died December 29, 1990.

A life-long resident of Tylerton, Smith Island, she was very dedicated to her community.  She was a member of Union United Methodist Church where she was active in the UMW and played piano and organ for more than 60 years.  She also played for the Union Church Choir and for the Christmas Carol Service.  In addition, she started the Shoebox Ministry on Tylerton.

Priscilla enjoyed arts and crafts and playing Parcheesi with her friends.  Most of all, she loved her family.  Nothing made her happier than when her entire family was together at her house on the island and she was able to cook meals with an abundance of dumplings for everyone.

She is survived by her children, Denny Bradshaw, Gloria Herbert, Don Bradshaw, and Joan Corbin and husband Eddie; grandchildren, Michael Herbert and wife Lauren, Amanda Dietlin and husband Jed, Greg Bradshaw, and Collin Bradshaw; and great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Herbert, Lilliana Dietlin, Grace Herbert, Olivia Herbert, and Sophia Bradshaw.

Funeral services will be Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 2 PM at Union U. M. Church on Tylerton, Smith Island. Rev. Everett Landon will officiate. Interment will be in the Union U. M. Church Cemetery. A special boat for funeral passengers, Capt. Jason II, will depart the Crisfield City Dock at 12:30PM and return following the funeral services.

Viewings will be Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 10-11 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home and from 7-9 PM at the church on Tylerton.
