Jimmie Rae Silvia, 78, of Salisbury, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Beacon Shores Nursing Home in Virginia Beach.

Born in Crisfield on August 12, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James G. "Little Jimmy" and Sara June Daniels Mister.

She was a graduate of Crisfield High School and furthered her education at Western Maryland College and the University of Pennsylvania. She was a retired physical therapist, working at the Holly Center, Dove Pointe and Wicomico Nursing Home.

She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church while in Crisfield and Trinity United Methodist Church while in Salisbury. She was member of the Soroptimist Women's Club in Salisbury and enjoyed collecting antiques and art. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, painting, and she was a voracious reader.

A devoted and loving mother, she was survived by a son, James Daniel "J.D." Silvia of Chesapeake, VA; a daughter, Stacey Lynn Reynolds and her husband Michael of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Jennifer Elizabeth Morton and her husband Jacob, Sara Kaitlin Reynolds, and Connor Randolph Reynolds, all of Virginia Beach; and one great grandson, Sawyer Miller Morton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. The Rev. Kim Gilson will officiate. Interment will follow in Crisfield Cemetery.
