Jesse Woodston Brimer, Jr. "Jesse Boy", 74, of Ewell, Smith Island, died Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury.

Born on May 9, 1947 and raised on Smith Island, he was the son of the late Jesse Woodston Brimer, Sr. and Louise Jones Brimer.

He was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1965, and was a life-long waterman.  He remained very close to his classmates over the years.

Jesse Boy was a member of Ewell United Methodist Church where he was past Sunday School Superintendant and past president of trustees, Ewell Volunteer Fire Department where he was life member and served as past assistant chief and past president, and Tangier Sound Watermen's Association where he served as past president.  In 2020, he was inducted into the Watermen's Hall of Fame.

He loved sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, and he loved talking on the phone and joking with friends and family.  His favorite show on TV to watch was Two and a Half Men.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mitzi Evans Brimer; daughter, Jessica Clayton and husband Matt of Crisfield; son, Troy Brimer and wife Karrinea of Delmar, MD; sister, Peggy Evans of Ewell; grandchildren, Chandler Clayton, Mackenzie Clayton, Landon Brimer, and Rhys Brimer; and nephews, Lenny Evans, Jr. and Darren Evans.

A funeral service officiated by Pastors Everett Landon and Jim Evans will be Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 2 PM at the Ewell Rec Center where a viewing will be Saturday evening from 6-8 PM.  Interment will be in the Ewell Church Cemetery.

A special boat for funeral passengers, Chelsea Lane, will depart Somers Cove Marina in Crisfield on Sunday at 12 Noon and return following the funeral service.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Ewell Volunteer Fire Department or Ewell United Methodist Church.
