Jerry Rue Sterling, Sr., 69, of Crisfield, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

Born in Crisfield on December 22, 1949, he was a son of the late Linwood Benson Sterling, Sr. and Laura Frances Davis Sterling.

He worked for Handy's Seafood and enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, and playing video games. He loved music and loved having visitors.

He is survived by his children, Jerry Sterling, Jr. of Eden, Teresa Benton of Laurel, DE, and Jeremy Sterling and Justin Sterling, both of Crisfield; brothers, Ronnie Sterling, Greg Sterling, and David Sterling, all of Crisfield; a sister, Laura Sterling of Crisfield; and a grandchild, Tyler Lowe.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Linwood Sterling, Jr.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 11 AM at Crisfield Cemetery.
