Jerry L. Sterling, 84, of Crisfield, died Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Bay Harbor Post Acute and Healthcare Center.

Born in Crisfield on April 24, 1940, he was a son of the late Luther Melvin Sterling and Beulah Mae "Couver" Baker Sterling.

Jerry L. was a proud painter, often sharing with others fond memories he had of working with his cousin, John Henry Sterling and his friend, George "Ackie" Nelson.  Not only did he paint houses, but he painted beautiful pictures including a stunning portrait of Jesus on an 8 ft. tall piece of plywood.  Jerry L. also was a talented cook and enjoyed sharing his food and recipes with friends and loved ones.

Jerry L. attended the former Evangelical Wesleyan Church in Crisfield when he was able.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Luther R. "Skippo" Sterling, who died in 1964 at the age of 32.

A graveside service will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 at 2 PM at Sunnyridge Memorial Park. Rev. Bob Daniels will officiate.
