Jeanne D. Mason, 87, of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 14, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Harry W. and Elsie Taylor Luckenbach. Her husband, Wilson V. "Pappy" Mason, Sr., preceded her in death on October 9, 1995.
She was a homemaker, and enjoyed participating in the MAC foster grandparent program at Woodson Elementary School for several years.
Jeanne had a strong Christian faith upon which her entire life was built. She was a devoted member of the Crisfield Church of God where she was active in many facets including Ladies Ministry, Golden Harvest, and was a Sunday School Teacher and greeter.
She enjoyed watching TV, and she always wanted to "be in the know". She loved her family dearly, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy.
She is survived by four children, Sandra Jeanne Whitelock (Leland), Wilson V. Mason, Jr., and David W. Mason (Colleen), all of Crisfield, and Cathy L. Vaughan (Benson) of Germany; a sister, Barbara Jones of Malvern, PA; nine grandchildren, Leigh Ann Mrohs, Lesli Whitelock (Doug), Clay Whitelock, all of Crisfield, Jason Whitelock (Georgianna) of Peoria, Arizona, Christopher W. Mason of Lucasville, Ohio, Austin T. Mason, David W. Mason, Jr., Hannah T. Mason, and Hunter T. Mason, all of Crisfield; two step-grandchildren, Stephanie Vaughan (Paul) of Nashville, Tennessee and Stacey Swift (Russell) of Crisfield; 11 great-grandchildren, Keleigh, Amber, Michael, Rachael, Haleigh, Jason, Emily, Matthew, Christopher, Christian, and Joscelyn; five step-great-grandchildren, Jacqueline, Ethan, Jadon, Adri, and Nathan; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Brennan, and four brothers, Grant Hall, Bob Hall, Harry W. Luckenbach and Bill Luckenbach.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 2 PM at the Crisfield Church of God. Rev.'s Philip Morris and Harvey Tyler will officiate. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7-9 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
