Jean Elizabeth Searfoss, 92, of Crisfield, died Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Alice B. Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Bethlehem, PA on September 19, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Augusta Heidiker Metzler.  Her husband, Rollin Jennings Searfoss, preceded her in death June 8, 2012.

Jean and her late husband lived in Pennsylvania for 40 years and moved to Maryland in 1988 after they retired.  She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and the local AARP Chapter.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Smoker and her husband Rich of Marion Station and Bonnie Cook of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania; a sister, Bernice "Bernie" DeLabar of Florida; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Metzler; and a sister, Arlene Orwin.

Memorial services will be private and urn burial will be in Somerset Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Crisfield.
