JANE WILLIAMS, 83, of Crisfield, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Newton, Kansas on January 25, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Louis E. and Inez B. Mudd Lair. She had been a resident of Crisfield for the past 16 years.
A homemaker, Mrs. Williams was a United States Coast Guard veteran. She was a faithful member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield, an enthusiastic member of the YMCA water aerobics in Pocomoke City, and she was also a member of the Republican Women.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold Williams of Crisfield; four children and their spouses, Karen and Rick Williams of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Stephen and Laureen Williams of Boston, Massachusetts, Gail and Michael Waddington of Chesapeake, Virginia and John and Karen Williams of Cobb, California; six grandchildren, Cori A. Waddington Williams and her husband Donald, Danielle Williams, Arianne Williams, Richard Williams, Susannah Williams and Alex Williams; and one great-granddaughter, Abigail Williams.
In addition to her parents, her twin sister, Jean Morford, and her brother, Robert Lair, preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held Monday, October 23, 2006 at 11 AM at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield. The Rev. Bill Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
