Jane Nelson Lewis, 57, of Salisbury, peacefully went to be with God on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake.

Jane was a daughter of the late John and Billie Rae Nelson Lewis. She was born March 26, 1958 in Salisbury and spent her younger years in Saxis, Virginia. She later moved to Salisbury with her family to be at Dove Pointe. She loved her family at Dove Pointe and in turn was loved by them.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sisters, Jill McCabe and husband Hap and Melissa Kelly and husband Frank, all of Salisbury; nieces and nephews, John Phillips of Salisbury, Kate Kelly of Easton, Donna Schaeffer and husband Kevin of Annapolis, Dana Stringer and husband Todd of Albuquerque, NM, and Doug McCabe and wife Jessica of Sacramento, CA; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and many special friends from Dove Pointe.

Beside her parents, Jane was preceded in death by an older brother, Jack.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 10 AM at Dove Pointe in Salisbury. The Rev. George Patterson will officiate.
