Reese, Sr.
March 17, 1940 – June 16, 2025
James Patrick Reese, Sr., 85, of Crisfield, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025 at his home.
Born in Crisfield on March 17, 1940, he was a son of the late James Bernard "Daddy Bunny" Reese and Dottie Bozman Reese.
He was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1958 and was a member of the US Army's Korean Military Advisory Group (KMAG) during the Korean War.
Pat worked many years as an industrial engineer at Rubberset Corporation, was service manager at Midway Chevrolet for 20 years, and was Trusted Advisor and Soft Crab Plant Manager at Southern Connection Seafood for 30 years.
He loved fishing, street racing his 65 Chevelle in his younger years, traveling to the Gulf of America, and enjoyed riding around town on his golf cart with his trusty Old Romanian Mioritic Shepard sidekicks "Isaac" and the late "Max".
He was survived by his wife of 57 years, Billie Rae Daugherty Reese of Crisfield who passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, just four days after his death.
He is survived by his sons, James Patrick Reese, Jr. and wife April of Crisfield, Thad Sterling and wife Elizabeth of Huntsville, Alabama, and Lance Reese and wife Kelly of Crisfield; brothers, Richard "Dickie" Reese and wife Barbara of Crisfield, Bunny Reese of Pocomoke and Barry Reese of Marion; grandchildren, Patrick Reese III, Lauren Bozman, Alyssa Reese, James Sterling, Kristoff Sterling, Kearstin Sterling, Gwendolyn Reese, Rhett Perry, Ryan Perry, Brendon Perry and Megan Perry; great-grandchildren, Harper Reese, Noah Patrick Reese, Lilah Reese, Gabrielle Bozman, Beckham Reese, and Pearl Joy; a son-in-law, Shawn Perry; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his wonderful caregivers, Tina Swift, who was like another daughter to him, and Angela Ferraro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol "Lanee" Reese Perry on September 15, 2024.
A Celebration of Life Service for Pat and Billie will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 1-3PM at the Crisfield Library, 100 Collins Street, Crisfield, MD 21817.
