Jacob Nathaniel Peed, 26, of Salisbury and formerly of Crisfield, died Thursday, July 1, 2021 at his home.
Born on June 30, 1995 in Cambridge, he was the son of Melissa Lee Hoopes Burns of Seaford and Richard Troy Peed of Federalsburg.
Jacob was raised in Crisfield and was a graduate of the Crisfield High School class of 2013. He was a hard-working waterman and truly loved being on the water.
He had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing and walking nature trails in the woods. He also liked bowling, playing cards and pool, listening to music, was an avid reader, and collected knives and old glass bottles.
"Our brother was such a simple man. He had a big/caring heart. He was the funniest person ever. He loved walking trails, showing us/listening to his music, & simply playing games to spend time together. Our brother was such a good brother/man."
He is survived by his parents, Melissa Lee Hoopes Burns and husband Jerry of Seaford and Richard Troy Peed of Federalsburg; grandparents, Gene Peed of Federalsburg, Connie Ann and Terry Joseph of Seaford, and Robert Hoopes of Newark, DE; siblings, Holly Hoopes-Marine of Seaford, Brittany Peed of Eden, Katlynn Peed of NC, Jessica Byrd and husband Jordan of Fruitland, Abigail Peed of Crsfield, Joel Peed of Seaford, Kaden Peed of Seaford, and Layla Peed Burns of Seaford; former brother-in-law, Tan Giang of Eden; and special nephews, Eli Townsend and Alfredo Michele.
He was preceded in death by his baby son, Ryker Peed; grandmother, Sharon Peed; and great-grandparents, Madeline B. and Ray Lloyd and Frances and Sheralds Lankford.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 2 PM at the Crisfield American Legion.
