Jackie Ward, 90, of Marion Station, died Saturday, December 12, 2020 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury.

Born in Crisfield July 5, 1930, he was a son of the late James and Serena Moore Ward. He was also preceded in death by his parents who raised him, Mary and Earl Henderson. His wife of 64 years, Ruth Catherine Goldsborough Ward, preceded him in death January 12, 2016.

A US Air Force veteran, he served five years in Japan during the Korean War. He was a tool and die maker at the former Carvel Hall Cutlery for 26 years, was a poultry farmer, and also worked at the family business, Sam's Auto, until his retirement.

Mr. Ward loved his church, Living Hope Ministries, of which he was a Charter Member. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years, but most of all spending time with his family was most important to him.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Mary Frances Davis and husband Samuel of Crisfield; a grandson who he thought of as a son, Sam Davis and wife Michele of Marion Station; two great-grandchildren Chandler Ward Davis and Sami-Jaden Davis; his sister, Peggy Walker of Crisfield; his sister-in-law and brothers-in-law whom were very special to him, Elmira Ford, Charles "Chalky" Goldsborough, and Johnny Goldsborough; and many special nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Watson; and two brothers, Jimmy Ward and Kenny Ward.

Funeral services with military honors will be private at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home. Pastor LeBron Palmer will officiate. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
