Jackie Wayne Crockett, Sr.

Jackie Wayne Crockett, Sr., of Crisfield, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the home of his son.

Born in Crisfield, he was a son of the late Claude and Julia Pruitt Crockett.

He was retired from Rubberset Corporation in Crisfield where he worked in the shipping department. He attended the Crisfield Church of God and enjoyed fishing and traveling with his family.

He is survived by three sons, Jackie Wayne “Rocky” Crockett, Jr., Claude Donald Crockett and wife Kathy, and David Joseph Crockett and wife Terrie, all of Crisfield; his brother whom he was very close to, Terry Crockett of Crisfield; his sister, Pat Culbertson and husband Lewis of Crisfield; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Lynn Mason Crockett; his second wife, Eleanor “Mae” Tyler Crockett; a son, Russell Gene “Rusty” Crockett; a daughter, Connie Lynn Crockett; and brothers and sisters, Don Crockett, Dougy Crockett, Claudia Butler, and Virginia Culbertson.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and nurses at the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute in Salisbury for the wonderful, compassionate care they provided.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 13, 2026 at 2 PM at the Crisfield Church of God. Pastor Michael Vaughan will officiate.
