Ira Thomas "Tommy" Robertson, 84, of Crisfield passed away Monday, July 28, 2015 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.
Born in Crisfield on November 15, 1930, he was a son of the late Tom and Mary Buldger Robertson.
He was a retired maintenance worker at the former Carvel Hall Cutlery, where he worked for 35 years. Tommy also was a poultry farmer and raised chickens for 15 years.
He was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and the Marion Fire Department. He was an avid collector of antique bottles and enjoyed riding his bike, playing the guitar, painting pictures, spending time outside, and most importantly, being with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Margaret Robertson Ward and husband Ben of Salisbury, Joan Robertson Swift of Marion, Joyce Robertson of Princess Anne, Ellen Robertson Osman of Seaford, DE, Debbie Robertson Diehl and husband Jim of Salisbury, and Daniel Mark Robertson and wife Cheryl of Marion; a brother, Joseph Robertson of Marion; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his long-time companion, Anita Byrd of Crisfield.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Lee Robertson; a brother, Carroll Conner; a sister, Aleen Conner Haynie; and a son in law, Clifton Osman.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where a viewing will be one hour prior. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery in Marion.
