Iola McCready Isdell, 88, of Marion Station, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.

Born in Crisfield January 2, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Orace and Beatrice Lawson McCready. Her husband, Eddie Isdell, died July 28, 2002.

A graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1943, she was a homemaker and also worked at the former Crisfield Cap Factory in her younger years.

She enjoyed flowers, cutting her grass, and preparing Sunday dinner for her family. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by four children, David Crockett of Marion, Deborah Gales and husband David of Shallotte, NC, Cindy Jones of Marion Station, and Donnie Crockett and wife Patricia of Shelltown; two brothers, Jerry McCready of Crisfield and Donald McCready of Florida; six grandchildren, Henry Gales and wife Kimberly, Roger Gales and wife Darla, and Vanessa Taylor and husband Trent, all of Shallotte, Amy McMullen and husband Brant of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, Donald Crockett of Shelltown and Jennifer Thomas of Crisfield; 16 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two special grandsons, Michael Shane Somers, Sr. on April 14, 2012 and David Chip Crockett on October 3, 2015; and three brothers, Maxwell, Bates and Leo McCready.

Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Bob Daniels will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.
