Obituary

IDELLA TAWES "DUB" TYLER, 83, of Crisfield, died Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born in Crisfield on June 10, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Vernon E. and Cecil Clark Tawes. Her husband, Melvin H. Tyler died December 13, 1989.

She was a retired secretary for the former local Butchers and Seafood Workers Union in Crisfield.

She was member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Crisfield. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and her pet dog "Heidi".

She is survived by two children, Patrick E. Tyler and his wife Jane of Little River, South Carolina and Linda T. Warfield and her husband The Rev. Mark Warfield of Jarrettsville, Maryland; four grandchildren, Michele and Bernie Hastings and their children Amanda and Kristen, Mark P. and Linda Warfield and their children Greg, Sarah, Jonathan, Abigail, Zachary and Nathaniel, Jill and Scott Lippiatt and their children Sean, Jake and Lauren, and Gina and Mark Gibson and their son Nicholas; three sisters, Betty Sterling and Mary Frances Elliott, both of Princess Anne and Doris McDorman of Crisfield; three brothers, Vernon Tawes, Jr. of Princess Anne and Benson Tawes and Linwood Tawes, both of Crisfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Lawrence Tawes, Randall Tawes, Benny Tawes, Doris Tawes, and Baby Vernon Tawes.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 2 PM at Asbury U. M. Church in Crisfield. The Rev. Steve Willing will officiate. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7-9 at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
