Obituary

HUNTER LEE STONNELL, 21, of Westover, died Friday, September 10, 2010.

Born June 23, 1989 in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, he was the son of Malcolm "Butch" Lee Stonnell, III and Belinda Ann Hall Stonnell, both of Westover.

A heavy equipment operator with Vulcan Materials Company in Pocomoke City, he attended Holly Grove Christian School in Westover where he was a member of the Honors Choir. He later transferred to Crisfield High School and graduated with the class of 2007. He also had a Merchant Marines license.

He was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Pocomoke City where he participated in Royal Rangers, Youth Group and the Worship Team. He also played Little League for several years.

Hunter was very musically talented. He was a self-taught drummer, acoustic, bass and electric guitarist, keyboardist, and played harmonica as well. He had special songs he would sing and play for his family members.

His creativity was unlimited, and was constantly creating things of all sorts including booby-trapping his bedroom. He was known as the neighborhood mechanic who enjoyed helping his neighbors fix their cars, trucks, four-wheelers and whatever else they called on him for.

Hunter enjoyed four-wheeling, hunting, woodworking, cooking, and his music. He will be forever remembered for his big personality, and for living each moment to the fullest.
